Natural Dye Training in Myanmar

Myanmar has a wonderful history of natural dyes but in modern times, with the ability of importing synthetic dyes from India and China, many of these techniques have been forgotten. Working with Turquoise Mountain in Myanmar, Wayzgoose had the chance to rediscover some of the heritage colours and their natural sources - exploring materials including teak bark and leaves, indigofera tinctoria, turmeric, roselle, cherry bark, neem tree bark, mango, almond, walnut and many more.

Working with this wonderful group of weavers living in Hakha, Chin state we delivered training in product design & natural dying.
